Lee unfortunately lost his friend Rhodri to bone cancer a few years back.
Since his loss he has gone on to raise thousands of pounds for bone cancer research. Lee is better known as marathon man in the gym due to the amazing challenges he undergoes in order to raise money.
He has completed challenges at the gym including:
- Climbing the height of Everest on our power mills (1694 floors) straight into completing a marathon on a treadmill over 12 hours.
- 7 marathons in 7 days.
- Back to back marathons in one session (52 miles).
Outside of the gym, Lee has also undergone other extreme challenges including competing in a boxing match, attempting a 120 mile run and also run from Waunarlwydd rugby club to the top of pen y fan, the highest peak of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Lee is the definition of a superhero, he has devoted a large amount of his life, always putting his body to the limits to raise awareness and money for a great cause, but come in to the gym day in, day out training for these with a smile on his face! He’s an absolute inspiration to us all.
