Re-opening – Frequently asked questions

Yes, your safety is our priority and Simply Gym is following all of the safety advice of both the government and our professional body UK active. We have implemented a variety of measures based around our 4 pillars:

Social Distancing– People and Equipment

Cleanliness & Disinfectant – Daily fogging with disinfectant, members cleaning equipment before and after use

Capacity management – Of the Gym as a whole, Group Exercise Classes and Specific Areas e.g. Find out how to book gym sessions here.

Professional & Trained Staff

Yes there are some changes to how we will use the Gym, from needing to book gym sessions to social distancing. A full list of all new procedures can be found here.

Please also follow these Safety Steps that will be clearly displayed in the club.

Book your daily gym session or class using our Simply Gym app. Gym Sessions start every 15 minutes and are for one hour but members will be allowed to stay in the club for up to an hour and a half. Please cancel your booking if you are not going to attend.

Bookings will become available 48 hours before the start of the session.

To start please limit yourself to booking only one session per day.

We have implemented one-way systems for entry and exit of the gym, please follow the floor stickers and maintain social distancing. Hand sanitiser will be provided and we ask members to please wear face coverings when entering and exiting the club. (Face coverings are not required when entering and exiting clubs in Wales)

The Simply Gym team will be maintaining a strict cleaning regiment throughout the day and the entire building will be “fogged” with disinfectant overnight. Members are required to clean all equipment before and after use with the cleaning products provided.

Yes the changing rooms and showers are open but we would encourage all members to limit their use of them at this time.

The sauna’s will not be in operation.

Yes these will be taking place with reduced capacity, no sharing of equipment and clear social distancing. Classes must be booked in advance as usual. Please check out the new timetable nearer to the time.

No, to maintain social distancing certain pieces of kit will be marked not in use, please do not attempt to use equipment and machines marked as out of use.

When we open we’ll be running online facebook groups where you’ll be directly supported by one of the Simply Gym team as you return to the gym. Each group is designed with specific goals in mind, we’ll be sending out more info about these closer to our opening day.

If you specified a date for the end of your freeze then you will be able to access the gym from that date. If you wish to unfreeze your membership sooner then please contact Harlands on 014449156 or c.service@harlandsgroup.co.uk and they will take care of it for you.

All cancelled members are welcome to rejoin the gym, you can follow the normal joining process or contact your club who will be able to assist you
